Preserved Aloha

I was born in 2002, and by the time I was old enough to really see the world, I couldn't stop moving through it. Travel became part of who I am. Different countries, different cultures, different ways of seeing beauty and meaning.

Wherever I went, I noticed how much culture shapes the way people create. A tradition, a symbol, or a craft passed down through generations carries weight far beyond the object itself. That understanding shaped how I think about making things by hand.

Living in Hawaii changed that even further. Here, lei making isn't just decoration. It's a tradition of care, of giving something made by hand as an expression of respect, welcome, and aloha. That spirit of intention is something I try to carry into every piece I create, even though my work looks very different from a lei itself.

I feel incredibly grateful to call Hawaii home, and Preserved Aloha is my way of honoring that gratitude, creating art you can wear that reflects the cultures, places, and traditions that have shaped who I am.
